Lilac
When the decision to relocate was taken
I had just planted in me
A young lilac forest.
The new soil was apparently
slightly unfavorable,
So, although caressed by the same sun,
the trees twisted,
contorted in all ways,
out of frustration
for not feeling their roots
deeply and securely inserted
in the familiar softness
of the ground from home.
In the meantime, they stretched their branches
from one to another
and the forest in me closed onto itself.
Sometimes,
on full moon nights,
as I lay lifeless on the couch,
watching idiotic programs,
I can still feel a sweet aroma invading
the living room.
