“From your hair” by LUCIAN BLAGA
The wisdom of a magus told me once,
about a veil that our eyes can’t pierce,
a web that covers all existence,
so that we never see what really is.
And now, when in your hair
you drown my cheeks, my eyes,
intoxicated by its rich and dusky waves,
I dream
of how that veil
that makes a mystery from the whole world
is weaved from your hair -
and I scream,
I scream,
and for this once I truly feel,
that sorcery the magus had hidden in his tale.

“Din parul tau” de LUCIAN BLAGA

Intelepciunea unui mag mi-a povestit odata
de-un val prin care nu putem strabate cu privirea,
paienjenis ce-ascunde pretutindeni firea,
de nu vedem nimic din ce-i aievea.
Si-acum, când tu-mi ineci obrajii, ochii
în parul tau,
eu, ametit de valurile-i negre si bogate
visez
ca valul ce preface-n mister
tot largul lumii e urzit
din parul tau --
si strig,
si strig,
si-ntaia oara simt
intreaga vraja ce-a cuprins-o magul în povestea lui.
